A neat game to play at your Ninja Turtle party is to blow up a balloon and provide all the kids with a plastic sword. The object of the game is to keep the balloon from hitting the floor. Everyone must use thier swords to keep the balloon afloat. Make sure you have lots of room for this game since the balloon can go anywhere! You want it to be fun and make sure no one gets hurt.

If you are having trouble thinking of party games for your son’s upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles party then stop trying to reinvent the wheel, and just give the classics a little makeover!
Start by playing “Pin the Mask on Leonardo.” Instead of the stadard picture of a donkey, blow up a picture of your favorite ninja turtle and let the kids try their best to pin the mask on the while they are blindfolded.
You can also play a variation of Freeze Tag. Play as you would normally play - one person is “It” and they try to run and tag the other players. Once someone has been tagged they have to freeze in place and wait for someone who is still safe to come and re-tag them before they can continue running. The catch is, the person who is “It” can wear a costume to look like Shredder, and there can be a base, or Turtle Lair where players can rest for up to 10 seconds at a time to catch their breath.

How about a game of Turtle Target? Make an outline of a manhole cover on a large piece of cardboard. Have all the guests gather in a circle. Place the manhole cover in the middle. Provide a deflated balloon, that you have put their name on, to each guest. Have them blow up their balloons, make sure not to tie them. When you yell “Cowabunga Dude ” The guest will let go of their balloons and try to aim them at the manhole cover trying to get it to land on it.

Everyone should have Turtle Power at a TMNT party! As guests arrive at your party let them decorate their own turtle costume to wear during the festivities, and take home as a party favor.
Before the party purchase several different colors of craft felt or fabric, and several yards of matching ribbons or strings. Also collect several pieces of cardboard - two for each guest. At home cut the pieces of cardboard into circles. One will serve as a shell, the other as a shield. As your guests arrive let them decorate their own shell and shield. Print out some samples of turtle shells for them to copy. Once everything is decorated using a hot glue gun (and adult supervision), attach the ribbons or strings in a diagonal line across the shell. Cut the ribbon long enough to tie around the chest of each guest. They can slip the shell on over one shoulder. Also, attach a short piece of ribbon on the back of their shield, like a handle. Use the fabric or felt to make turtle masks - cutting two holes for eyes. Be sure to take lots of pictures of all your turtles!
