A fun game to play at you Shrek party is to play pin the tail on the donkey! Every child gets blindfolded and spun around then they try to get the tail as close as they can. The child who get the tail the closest wins a Shrek the Third Mad Libs Book.

Come party in the land of Far, Far Away with some of your favorite Shrek friends: Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss-n-Boots and Dragon. You could play Shrek tag. Order the Shrek the Third Ears. Have one child put a set of ears on their head. That player will be Shrek. The other children must chase Shrek. Once one of the children catch him then the ears are then given to that child and the game starts all over again.

If you’re having a Shrek the Third party don’t forget about Gingy - the quick-witted gingerbread man. Let the kids help you mix ingredients, and cut out their very own gingerbread men - then send them out of the kitchen to watch Shrek the Third, the movie.
Once the movie is done the cookies will be too. Set out several fun candies and icings for everyone to make their own version of Gingy. For added fun, get out your video camera and turn on the music. Let the kids take turns helping their gingerbread men sing, like in the credits of the first Shrek movie!

A great activity to do during your Shrek the Third party would be to make crowns, and a castle for all your guests to play in. Each person can make a crown out of construction paper or craft foam. Cut out a simple pattern and let each person trace and cut it out, according to what size they need. Each guest can decorate his or her crown and paste on jewels.
Once everyone’s crown is secured, start on your castle. In the backyard, set out several empty refrigerator boxes. Let the kids tape the boxes together and begin decorating or painting the boxes to look like the castles in the movie. Everyone will enjoy helping out to make the castle spectacular! After everything is set, take lots of pictures and let the kids play until the party is over.
