The Sesame Beginnings 1st for 8 party supplies will come in handy when you’re ready to start planning your baby’s first birthday. When it comes to first birthday parties, though, there are a few tips to remember:
-Invite the people that mean the most to you and your baby. While it may be cute to take pictures of all the other kiddos that are the same age as your little one, adults make the best guests at a first birthday party. If you do choose to invite other children make sure there are age appropriate games and activities.
-Schedule around nap times. Having a party in the late afternoon or early evening allows for all children involved to have their regular afternoon rest, and arrive at the party refreshed and ready for fun!
-Don’t over-do it! Keep things simple. Get the party basics, and then sit back and just enjoy the company. There’s no need to go over-the-top to impress your child with your party planning abilities - there will be plenty of other birthdays…one’s they’ll remember!
-Don’t let a tantrum ruin the day! If someone at the party starts to get upset (whether its your child or another), don’t take it as a personal attack on the party. Remember that they’re just babies, and spontaneous crying is normal. Address the situation without lots of comotion, and continue having a good time!
