Ratatouille is one smart rat! The kids love him and he is so cute. A cute way to make your invites to the party would be to make it like a recipe. Say something like.. “A great Birthday party for _____” and then under that put the 1 birthday boy/girl, a heap of fun, sprinkle of games and a combination of friends. Mix all together for 1 great PARTY! Then under that put all the party details such as date, time and place. You and your child will have allot of making these next birthday party invites.

Ratatouille!!! Just the name brings a smile to your face. Everyone will enjoy seeing Remy on all the Ratatouille Party Supplies. Start to party fun off with a Ladle Relay Race. Divide the guest into two equal teams. After you have done that divide the teams into two. You set up both teams with half on each side of the party area. Using a large ladle each player must carry an orange to the other side of the the area and had the ladle and orange off to the next player. If the player drops the orange they must go and start over. The team that does this the fastest wins.

That silly rat Ratatouille has a nose for good smelling food.
Before the party take plastic containers and fill them with all kinds of spices like cinnanamon, peppermint, chili pepper, lemon, thyme, etc. Don’t label what the spice is in the container. The game will begin with the first person who wants to sniff the spice and tell what he thinks it is.
The game continues until all the guests have had a turn. The winner is the one who guesses the correct spice. They get a special cooking award, such as a bag of cookies or even a special cake you make for the winner.

Since the movie Rataouille is set in the city of Paris, why not decorate your party area to look like Paris! Drape all the tables with white table cloths and flowers. Hang posters from Paris, like the pictures of the city and famous monuments. You may call a travel agency and see if they have any you can borrow or purchase. Since Paris is called the “City of Lights” you may want to hang Christmas lights through out the party area as well. This will surely create a great mood for your guests! They will think they are in Paris!

After the kids have been playing Ratatouille themed games have them come in and take a stab at being a chef. Give each of them an apron and Chef Hat. Have ingredients to make their own English Muffin Pizzas and Fresh Fruit Kabobs. When they have finished eating why not let the guest decorate their Aprons and Chef Hats with Fabric Paints?

If you’re having a Ratatouille party then you will definitely need chef’s hats. Instead of buying them, have guests make their own!
Materials Needed:
White shower caps
White paper
Markers, crayons, or paint (something to use to decorate)
Hot Glue Gun (adult supervision required)
To start, take white paper and measure it to fit around each child’s head - this will become the hat base - tape pieces together where needed. Once everyone’s hat base is ready, lay paper flat and let each child decorate their chef’s hat. When decorations are complete secure paper to make a circle. Have an adult come around and use a hot glue gun to attach the white shower caps to the top of the hat base.
When the hats are done, lead all the little chefs into the kitchen to decorate some sugar cookies. Take lots of pictures!

Another game for your Ratatouille party is, Catch the Rat. Cut several pieces of of yellow paper or foam to look like slices of cheese. Have a spot in the party area designated as the “Kitchen”. Place the cheese around the “Kitchen”. Have an Adult wear a chef’s hat and guard over the kitchen while the children attempt to steal pieces of cheese. If a “rat” is tagged they stay in the kitechn.

Since Ratatouille is such a wonderful chef, you and your guests can try your hand at making a delicious treat at your next party. You can make Peppermint Ice Cream with your whole group.
