A treasure hunt at a Pirate Party! How fun that would be. On your invite print ‘Ahoy ther Matey, Captain _____ needs your help to find his hidden treasure" then under that write the party details. Of course we have Pirate Party Invitations if you prefer.
The treasure chest could be a pinata full of goodies. You can hide it some place in your home and have the kids start searching for it. Once it is found hung the pinata from a tree or another sturdy object and let the person that found it get the first swing at it. After is is broke open all the kids can start filling thier pockets!
When everyone leaves they receive a empty treasure chest favor box to take home.

If you have a pirate that’s a little younger, then a typical pirate party might be a little too scary for him and his friends. The Pirate’s Treasure party supplies are perfect for a little buchaneer. Keep things light by playing regular games and activities - just add a pirate twist. For instance, you can play “Musical Islands” instead of “Musical Chairs”. Cut out small island shapes out of brown paper and set them on the floor. Play music and have each child run to an island when the music stops - just like the regular game.
When it’s time to open presents you can use a “looking glass” (glass bottle) to determine the order of the gifts to be opened. Have the kids sit in a circle, each holding their gift. Let the birthday boy spin the bottle around to see whose gift he will open first. Continue until each gift is opened.

Here’s an idea for a Pirates birthday party. You can buy little treasure box and a lock (and a little toy). You hide the key and a bunch of other keys. Send the children out to find all the keys. Then you test all the keys and whoever has the key that opens the treasure box gets the prize inside.

A message in a bottle for your little pirate’s birthday party.
This is very cute and so fun. Invite your friends to the party with a message in a bottle. Start off making the invitation and have all the details and a map to your party area. Make sure you make the paper “look” old by crumpling it up or burning the edges. Next, use all the bottles you have saved just for this, you can use plastic soda bottles or glass ones if you prefer. Now, take the invite and roll it up and place in the bottle. You will need to hand deliver these to all your child’s friends. Your birthday boy or girl will love giving these out and it is a unique way to invite guests.
