John Deere Birthday Party
John Deere started his company in the very early 1800’s. He was a blacksmith by trade and started making tools. The company earliest success was when it introduced steel plows. Since then John Deere has grown to symbolize farm equipment. It now has more than 45,000 employees and ships farm equipment all over the world.
Even kids know a lot about John Deere and that’s why people started buying John Deere Party Supplies for themed birthday parties for their children. If you grew up around farms or live on a farm now having a John Deere birthday party makes a lot of sense. Below you will find some tips and advice on having the best party possible.
Start planning your party well in advance. We suggest 6 weeks. That gives you enough time to work through your ideas and get everything done in an orderly fashion. Around 3 weeks before your party send out John Deere Party Invitations. Those invitations will set the early mood for your party.
When setting up for your party you might look into getting hay bales if possible. You can use them both for decoration and can turn them on their side and use them as tables for the kids to eat their meals and dessert at.
We have great kids John Deere Hats that you can purchase and give to each guest as they arrive at your party.
We also offer John Deere Pinatas. You can fill the tractor shaped pinata with candy and other treats. Kids love to take turns taking swings at the pinata to see who can bust it open.
As you start choosing party favors we suggest you offer your guests John Deere Sticker Sheets. It seems that sticker sheets are hits at all kids events no matter what the party theme and these stickers of large John Deere equipment is perfect for this type of party.

Little boys love tractors and you could have a fun time getting ready for your John Deere Party!
First, cut out tractors for the invitations in green and use yellow writing for all the party details. Use yellow and green steamers and balloons. If you know someone that has a tractor you might ask them to bring it to the party so all the kids can sit on it and get their picture made!
Be sure and give everyone a red bandanna to put around their necks and a Cowboy hat! This will make the picture very special and a wonderful keepsake for all parents.

All little boys dream of owning their own John Deere one day.
A cute spin off from Pin the Tail on the Donkey is Pin the Wheel on the Tractor. Find a John Deere tactor poster. Cut out wheel shapes and have each child after being blind folded and truned around three time try and get the wheel as close as possible to the right spot.

For your John Deere party get shoe boxes, scissors, markers, foam cups, and wooden sticks.
Then you decorate the shoe box to look like a tractor. Next you cut out the bottom of the foam cup and stick the wooden stick through the both ends of the shoe box, then you color the bottom of the foam cup that you cut out like a tire. Lastly you stick the bottoms of the cups through the wooden sticks.
You have made yourself a shoe box tractor.

Instead of playing Pin the Tail on the Donkey, play Pin the Wheel on the Tractor. Print a picture of a John Deere tractor from the internet and have it enlarged. Then, in black construction paper make several tractor tires. Hang the tractor poster on the wall, blind fold each child, one at a time. Put a small piece of double sided tape on each tractor wheel. Spin the blindfolded child around and tell him to “pin” the wheel on tractor. It will be fun to watch all the interesting places the tires end up.

Tractors sometimes get stuck in the mud. Why not play a game like that? Here is what you do:
It is like freeze tag, however, once you are tagged then you have to stand with your legs spread apart, then as soon as someone crawls on the ground between your legs you are free to go again.
If you get tagged 3 times then you are out of the game and have to sit out. This is fun a great excerise for the children.

If you need a fun activity for your next John Deere birthday party, why not have a hay ride? I recently went to a children’s camp where we were scheduled to have a hay ride one night for a fun activity. Right before we left our cabin one of the kids asked me, “What’s a hay ride?” I knew that telling them that riding around on bales of hay was fun, was not going to go over well - so I just told them it would be fun! Everyone needs to go on a hayride in their lifetime. We had a blast - we sang songs, yelled and waved to teh people in the distance, and made every bump and turn extra dramatic!
