Hula! Party Supplies are not only for Summer and Spring Birthdays! My daughter has a January birthday and wanted to have a Hula Party. Thanks to the local YMCA, they made it possible. We just had our party there. I was able to use the Hula party supplies to decorate the party room. After spending some time in the pool we came back and had Hula and limbo contest. The Hula Party Favor Boxes made planning this party a snap.

The ideal place to have a Hula party is by the pool. The decorates are endless! Use tiki torches all around the pool area (recommened for older children). Give everyone wear a flower lei when the arrive. Each table can be decorated with flower centerpieces and bright colored table cloths. The cake and gift table can be decorated with a flower tablecloth and grass shirt.
Palm trees added to your decor will make everyone feel like they are in a Tropical Paradise.
A hula theme can be used for birthday’s or even wedding showers.

A hula party will really get you ready for summer! Hire a real live Hula dancer! Provide inexpensive grass shirts for everyone to wear over their shorts and have the hula dancer first do a hula performance and then she can provide lessons for all the brave people at your party!
This party would be great for teenagers or preteen girls. Be sure and have great refreshments to drink and eat after the lessons, cause they will need it!

If you are having your Hula Party at home, I heard of a great game to play.
The guests are sure to have a blast. Have a Beach Bag Relay. Divide the guest into two equal teams. Fill two beach bags with Hula items. (grass skirt, lei, beach hat, sunglasses and don’t forget the beach towel) You will also need two beach chairs setting about 15 to 20 feet away. On “Go” the first guest will put on the Hula gear. Then they will take off to the chair with bag in hand. They must first place the beach towel in the chair and then sit down. The next step is to get up take off the Hula gear place it back into the bag and race to the next person in line to hand off the bag. The team who can do this the quickest wins.

This theme is great for a summer party as well as a birthday party. For the small children that attend your party. have a huge sandbox with lots of shovels and buckets to make sand castles. For the older children at the party, have a beach volleyball game. Put up a net and they will play for hours. Be sure and have lots of lawn chairs and umbrella’s for the adult to lounge and watch the children play. Also, have a plastic swimming pool full of ice, water, soda and fruit drinks.

These Hula! decorations are adorable, and will help set the mood for a great Hawaiian themed party. If your daughter’s birthday is in the summer and she wants to have a Hula! themed party consider having the party outside. Keep in mind that it will be hot, and that you may want to have the party in the evening, once the sun has started to set. Having the party outside will make the atmosphere like a luau.
You can decorate with tiki torches and strings of lamps that most stores carry around the beginning of the summer holidays. And as a fun activity you can purchase several Hula hoops and tie short ribbons/streamers to them and let your guests have a hula hooping contest - see who can go the longest, who can walk and hula at the same time, who can do the most tricks, etc.
