You can’t go wrong with a Harry Potter themed party. If you’ve read all the books then you know that the party ideas are endless!
Invite friends to come over dressed as their favorite characters…you can even purchase Harry Potter Glasses for all your guests. Once everyone has arrived, have a designated Professor McGonagall divide everyone into school houses, just like the books. Each school can become a team and can earn house points in a trivia game where guests answer questions about events and characters from both the books and movies.
You can set up different areas around your house to represent Hogwarts classes and rooms. The dining room can serve as the Great Hall, while the kitchen can represent the potions class where guests can use different ingredients to make their own special ice cream sundaes.
Don’t worry about decorations, either - purchase the Harry Potter party supplies - it’s a one stop shopping experience. You can get everything you need, all in one place!

A exciting item to make for your Harry Potter party would be a wizard hat! Take some black construction paper or black poster board and cut into triangles. Give each person star stickers to put in the hat. Just fold the paper or poster board to make a hat and tape it closed. Everyone will look great wearing their hats at the party. You might also have them wear Harry Potter Glasses.
You can make up all kinds of magical games and even have a magican at the party to entertain!

Have a Halloween Harry Potter Party! Have everyone dress up like their favorite character from the movies. Be sure and serve allot of yummy snacks, Harry Potter loves chocolate so be sure and have a big chocolate cake with chocolate icing. You could call the punch “Witches Brew” and you could serve Buffalo wings and call them “Bat Wings” or Chicken Drumsticks and call them “Dragon Legs”. You can have party treats like grapes as snake eyes, carrots as lizard tongues and jello shapes.

My son is a huge Harry Potter fan. I think we have done book reports on each one of J.K. Rowlings books. Harry Potter Party Supplies with take all the guess work out of planning his next party.
We are planning a Dragon Egg Hunt. We have taken left over plastic eggs and painted them with fleck paint to give them a Dragon Egg Look. We filled each one with stickers and candy. After hinding them all over the house and yard the guest will enjoy finding them and having plenty of goodies to take home.

Harry Potter really brought the theme of Wizards back.
It is fun and all to pretend and you can have alot of fun with it. Make globes with glitter. Before your party, gather several baby food jars, glycerin and glitter. Have every child fill the jar about 3/4 full of water, then add 1/2 teaspon of the glycerin, next add 3 tablspoons of glitter. Seal the top of the jar with colored duct tape. Once the jar is shaken the glitter will float around, the glycerin makes the water thicker so the glitter will move slower through the jar. This makes a great party favor.

For our Harry Potter party we are going to make edible magic wands. Use pretzel rods. First dip all but an inch in melted chocolate. Once the chocolate has set dip the inch that has nothing on it into, melted white almond bark.
