Dora the Explorer Birthday Party
We have all the Dora The Explorer Party Supplies that you will need to have a wonderful birthday party for your Dora fan. We also want to help by providing tips and suggestions on how to have the best Dora birthday possible.
You should start planning your party around 6 weeks in advance. You may not need that much time but it sure is comforting to have enough time to handle the details. Besides you want to send out Dora the Explorer Party Invitations about 3 weeks before the date of the party. So start your planning 6 weeks before your party date.
If you are having a Dora the Explorer birthday party then you know that Dora is bilingual. She helps kids with both English and Spanish so you may want to brush up on a few key Spanish phrases.
As your guests arrive you might greet them with a Dora the Explorer hat. That way the kids know their adventure is about to start.
Hide and seek is the most natural game for a Dora the Explorer birthday party. But instead of people hiding you should hide some objects and let the kids find them with some clues you provide. That’s what Swiper does for Dora in books and cartoons.
When buying your Dora party supplies you might add a Dora the Explorer Pinata. Our Pinata comes with a trick pull string. With one tug of the string all the goodies you put inside will come raining down. But don’t tell the kids.
As with any child’s birthday party you want to give the guests some wonderful party favors. Check out all of the Dora Explorer party favors we offer.

A Pinata would make your Dora party complete! Be sure and fill it with lots of candy, and stickers for everyone. Be sure after the pinata is busted open that all kids get an equal amount of goodies to take home and that everyone gets a whack at it!

If you’re having a Dora Starcatcher party one activity you should try is map-making. Let each child make their own map, and then have a scavenger hunt around the house. Dora the Explorer is always going on adventures - and your guests can too! Make simple clues to lead the kids to the next site, and eventually have a prize waiting! The hunt can lead them all around, including outdoors - then the prize can be cake and ice cream!

Here is a YUMMY treat to serve at your Dora party instead of cake:
Here is what you need:
10 flour tortillas
Vegetable oil
Plain Chocolate Candy Bars
Powdered Sugar
toothpicks
First, warm the tortillas in the microwave for 10 seconds, just enough to get them soft.
Next, break the chocolate bars into pieces and put a few (2 or 3) chunks into the tortilla.
Wrap the tortilla up around the chocolate and using the toothpick, hold the tortilla together around the chocolate.
Heat the vegetable oil up in a skillet and place the tortilla in the pan, cook until the tortilla is somewhat brown.
Take it out of the pan and remove the toothpick, it should hold together. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and ENJOY! This is a very easy and good treat to make.

Dora loves to teach children Spanish and what a fun activity this would be for your Dora Starcatcher Party.
Make flash cards with using several words in Spanish. Before the game starts, read off all the words in English and then say what it is in Spanish. Once you have gone through them a few times, see what they can remember. Hold the first flash card up showing the Spanish word and see who can remember what it was in English. Keep going until all the cards are finished.
