One thing I have learned with a 4 year old girl running around our house is that she and all her friends want to be princesses. It seems they want to dress like princesses, walk like a princess and be a princess. In fact I am not so sure our daughter doesn’t fully believe that she is a princess.
We showed her your Birthday Princess party supplies and your Disney Princess Fairy Tale Friends party supplies and she got so excited. She absolutely loved them both. Now the problem is trying to decide which princess theme to go with.

Disney Princess Birthday Party
One of the most fun things you can do for your daughter is to throw her a Disney Princess Birthday Party. Below you will find tips, suggestions and other Disney Princess Birthday Party ideas to help you create a wonderful memory for her.
Start to plan your royal party around 6 weeks in advance. There’s lots to and you don’t want to feel rushed. Purchase some Disney Princess Birthday party invitations and send them out to your guest list around 3 weeks before the party. You should request that people RSVP so there are no surprises the day of the party.
The Disney Princesses dress in many different colors so if you are looking at color schemes for the party you have lots of choices. Most people emphasize pinks and yellows, both of which go well with all of our Disney Princess Birthday party supplies. In fact you might take a look at our party deluxe pack pictured at the top of this page. It gives you an inexpensive option for getting the party supplies you will need.
As your guests arrive you should have a royal escort welcoming them at the door. The escort should take the young princesses by the arm and show them in to the main party room. Have the escort announce the new arrivals by name so people know everyone else’s name.
When sending out the Disney Princess invitations you should request that all the girls attending the party dress up like their favorite princess. You can give a small door prize to everyone who comes in costume and possibly even have a Disney Princess fashion show. Have the girls each walk down an aisle past the parents and other guests and have an announcer describe their outfits.
Play a game similar to a cake walk. Before the party put some relevant princess pictures down on the ground including one of a glass slipper. Have the girls start by standing on a Disney Princess party picture. When the music starts have them starting walking picture to picture. When the music stops they all need to stop on the closest picture. Whoever stops on the glass slipper wins a little prize.
Have one of the parents volunteer to act as a royal hairdresser and let the girls take turns getting their hair done for the royal ball.

A great different way to have a Prinecess party is to have a father/daughter princess party. All the little girls could get dressed up for the ball and have tea and snacks with their dad. You could also have a dance where all the little girls get to dance with their daddy. The birthday girl can have a special dance with her favorite man.

When you’re having a Princess Party, the main thing to remember is to stay in character - from the greetings to the decorations to the way you speak - everything you do adds to the atmosphere. Greet guests with a red carpet entrance with some fabric from a local craft store. Wear your fanciest clothes, and announce each guest as they arrive. You can also add to the dining experience by purchasing plastic goblets and painting “Princess” on the side of each cup.

Every little girl dreams of being one of the Disney Princesses.
At your Disney Princess Fairy-Tale Friends party play Cindrella’s Glass Slipper. Before the party make Cinderella’s Glass Slipper by spraying a high heeled shoe with silver spray paint and glitter. Make sure you find an old beat up shoe too. Have the guest sit in a circle. Pass both shoes around the circle while music is playing. Ring a bell to signal the stroke of midnight. The guest holding the old shoe is out. Play until there is only one guest left.

If your daughter and her friends are huge fans of the Disney Princesses (and who isn’t?) then you can turn your party into a ball! Set up the first half of the party as a dancing lesson. Have someone teach the girls some simple ballroom dance moves. They’ll love learning how to glide across the dance floor just like their favorite princess.
Next, have several glittery skirts and outfits for them to put on so that they can get dressed, properly, for the ball. And finally, have a dance. Play lots of music - you can find plenty of CD’s that have songs from the classic Disney movies. After each girl has had her fill of ballroom dancing, you can also turn on their other favorites. Play some Hannah Montana, High School Musical, or the Jonas Brothers, and stand back as they dance around and rock out!

A tea party will be perfect for your Disney Princess party. You can serve, lemonade and cupcakes. Have a special tiara for each girl that will be at the party. You can purchase those at your local party or craft store. For the cupcakes use white icing with lots of sprinkles. The tea should be served in a tea set with the special tea cups and plates. This will make all the girls feel special, just like a princess.
