It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year! But it’s time to celebrate your little guy’s first birthday - and besides purchasing the Boy’s Playtime 1st party supplies - there are a few things to consider when you’re planning his party.
If you’re planning to invite other children to the party consider making sure that they are all in the same general age bracket. Whomever you invite will need to be entertained, and if everyone is around the same age they will be more likely to enjoy the same activities, which means less planning and supervision on your part.
If your guests are all under the age of 2 you will definetly want to let the parents know that they are invited as well. Invite parents to stay and help with the party - most of them will be more than willing to stick around and watch as their children have fun at what is probably their first party.
Remember to be flexible. Most young children have not mastered the art of social graces, so there is always a chance that there will be unexpected tears and tantrums. Don’t let it ruin your whole day - just like your son, they will get over it - quickly - you just have to let it run its course, and rememebr to not take it personally!
And most important - remember to take lots of pictures and enjoy the day. Celebrating your first birthday only happens once, and you’ll want to remember every moment!

I love this theme for the 1st birthday boy’s party. You could decorate with blue and yellow balloons. Have airplanes hanging from the ceiling. For the centerpiece, go purchase some tonka trucks and have them sitting on each table with a balloon attached to it. Next, go the craft store and get a plain white tee shirt for your birthday boy and fabric paint. If you are not good at free hand drawing and painting, use stencil to make a large number 1 in blue and outline it in a darker blue like Boys playtime napkin. You paint airplanes or cars also on the shirt. Since the them is playtime, be sure you set aside that time for the the children to play together.

Why not visit a fire station to go along with this theme. Call your local fire department and set up a time for you to come and visit. All the children will love this as well as the parents. For each child have them sit up on the firetruck and have their picture made with a fireman. The fireman will also love this time with the children.
