The Backyardigans Birthday Party
If you are going to have a birthday party at your house for your youngster and you want to have it outside then you should definitely consider our Backyardigans Birthday Party Ideas. The theme is perfect for an outside party with plenty of great activities.
Start planning your Backyardigans party at least 4 weeks in advance. You should order some Backyardigans birthday party invitations to send to all your invited guests at least 3 weeks before the party. That gives everyone enough time to plan for the party.
There is no sense having a Backyardigans birthday party inside if at all possible. Of course weather may not cooperate. The backyard should be your first choice.
Whether you choose inside or outside you should make the party area as colorful as possible. After all the Backyardigans party supplies are extremely bright colored just like the show. You want arriving kids to know right away that they have entered Backyardigans territory.
As you know the Backyardigans television show takes the characters through lots of exciting adventures right in their own backyard. There is always music and activity so you should plan the same for your Backyardigans birthday party.
One of the most obvious outdoor activities for a backyard is to hide prizes throughout the yard. Hide little toys and games behind trees and bushes. Once all the items are hidden send the kids off on a treasure hunt.
Depending on the ages of the kids, you might draw a treasure map and have the kids try to find the hidden treasure that you have previously hidden in the backyard.
One of the activities we always suggest for birthday parties with this age group is supplying little bottles of bubbles for the kids. A Backyardigans birthday party is no exception. In fact it makes a lot of sense since the kids will be in the backyard where blowing bubbles is harmless. You might even consider one of those bubble blowing machines that make the huge bubbles.
Remember one of the main reasons kids love the Backyardigans is the music so make sure you have the ability to play fun music at your Backyardigans birthday party. Use the music not only as background noise but have the kids dance and move to music for more physical activity.

Spring and summer are the perfect time of year for Backyardigans birthday parties.
Now that the weather is warming up and the clocks have been moved back to day light savings there is so much more that can be done outside in the backyard than in the house. The stress level for moms is dramatically reduced when the guests are playing outside.
The other thing that’s great about having the birthday party in the back yard is that it doesn’t matter if kids spill or drop food. Set up little picnic areas on the grass and there’s no worrying about stains.

A spring time birthday would be a great time to have a Backyardigans party! Or if you just want to get all your childs friends together for a kick off Spring party. Party favors could be musical instruments made out of paper towels holders or empty oatmeal containers. Your child will have so much fun making music with all her friends.

After watching the Backyardigans with my 2 year-old cousin, it seems like the possibilities are endless for birthday ideas! Obviously you would want to have the party in the backyard, and with some sort of adventure. You can create an obstacle course of cardboard boxes for the children to crawl through and use their imaginations to turn into other things - like rockets, houses, castles, etc.!

Backyardigan roll call!!! Uniqua, Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha, and Austin. Now that all five are here and present, it’s time to get this party started. With Spring in full swing and summer right around the cornor, this is a great theme. Just let each party guest transform into their favorite character. Set up your back yard to let their imaginations transform their own epic journey.
Buy lots of bubbles to blow for snow or rain. A lot of big colorful balls can get their imaginations going too. Plus these would be great party favors fo the kids to take home.

Imagination is the key to your Backyardigans party. That and ordering Backyardigans party supplies. Set up your own Backyard Safari. Just grab some large boxes and some paint. Paint your own elephants, lions, giraffes or any other animals you can think of to place around the yard.
Tell the guests it’s time to go on your own Safari to find wild animals. To get the guests imagination started give them actual facts about some to the animals they are going to find on their Safari.

The Backyardigan’s is a great theme for your childs birthday party. Hopefully the weather will be nice so you can have it outside. Decorate the party with stuffed Backyardigans plush toys. These will make great centerpieces for the tables and great gift for your child to play with. Use bright colored balloons and if you can find animal balloons that would be great as well. Play fun games like Duck, duck Goose and leap frog.

During your Backyardigans party you can let the kids paint with homemade bubbles! Mix together water and liquid dish soap - then add a few drops of food coloring. Mix up several bowls, each with a different color. Let kids blow bubbles at pieces of paper to create a wonderful mix of colors!
Make sure, before you start the painting, that each child is covered with a smock so the food coloring doesn’t get on their clothes. You’ll want to do this activity in the backyard, and set the easels, or pieces of paper downwind - if possible. If you don’t have enough easels, you can pin large pieces of paper to a clothes line.

Your Backyardigans Party guest will have fun with this game. The Nose Knows. Fill seveal baby food jars with familiar scentes, garlic, lemon, rose water, bubble gum, pepermint, lavender vanilla, coffee, etc. You can find most of these sents at your local craft store, along with the candle and soap scents. If all else fails just use baking extracts. Place a few drops of the scents on cotton balls and close the lids. When it’s time to play blind fold the guest and have each guest test their ability to guess the right scent.
